One of my roommates was finishing up her co-op position and requested a cake to bring in on her last day. She worked in the 'maps and something or other' section of City Hall. Everyone at the office loved it!
The problem I envisioned in planning, was carving sheet cakes into a round sphere...
But Wilton didn't let me down- they make a sports ball pan set that I found on Amazon. I used cardboard and skewers for supports so it wouldn't go rolling away in transport.
